Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Adoro is a private, offline prayer app. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information. The short version: everything stays on your device, and we collect nothing.

No accounts, no servers

Adoro has no user accounts and operates no servers of its own. You do not sign in. There is no profile, no cloud database, and no login.

What the app stores — and where

Everything you create or choose is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage:

We (the developer) cannot see, access, retrieve, or sell any of this. It never leaves your device except when you explicitly choose to share or back it up (see below).

Confession notes are treated with extra care

Confession notes are the most sensitive thing the app holds. They can be locked behind Face ID / device passcode, are excluded from any share or backup, and are deleted by default after you log a confession unless you choose to keep them.

What we collect: nothing

Adoro contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app does not build a profile of you, does not measure your usage, and does not transmit your content anywhere.

Network use

The app's prayers, Bible text, catechism, and calendar all work fully offline. The only time the app touches the network is when you tap an external link — for example, the official daily readings on the USCCB website, or the Catechism of the Catholic Church on the Vatican's website. Those pages open in your browser and are governed by those websites' own privacy policies. Adoro does not send them any of your personal content.

Sharing

When you tap Share (for example, to send a Prayer Card or a prayer gift), your device's standard share sheet opens and sends only the content you chose, to the app or person you select. Nothing is shared automatically.

Backups

Adoro does not upload your data. If you turn on the optional iCloud backup, that backup is stored in your own iCloud account under Apple's encryption and terms — the developer has no access to it. Confession notes are excluded from backups.

Children's privacy

Adoro does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It contains no ads and no data collection.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
